Als je mediteert, raken gedachten over gedachten, en gedachten over het lichaam langzaam op de achtergrond. Desondanks is er het lichaam, als ervaring. Wie of wat is dat?Lees meer »
Football, Yoga & Meditation Week
09-06-2012
In this week we bring sport and sitting meditation together to celebrate and enjoy life. Life doesn't have to be so serious and at the same time, we don't have to hide or avoid difficult things. Through retreat practice, meditation and sharing our experience together, we move deeper into our lives and find our direction, what we are living for. How can we relax into our lives and open up to others... - even if they support a different team?
The mornings of the Football, Yoga & Meditation Retreat will be reserved for meditation and teachings about mindfulness in everyday life. The programme will include an introduction to meditation for newcomers. Participants can choose yoga or football in the afternoon. In the evenings we will watch the different matches of the European Championship, on a big screen, in a bar in a neighboring village. For people who like to run, there is the option to jog together in the early morning. The programme will also leave gaps for walks around the quiet and beautiful nature surrounding Dechen Chöling, a visit to one of the characteristic French towns nearby and/or a beer around the campfire.
The teacher John Seex is not only a very reasonable football player and yoga practitioner, but also a senior Buddhist teacher in the lineage of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. He works as a Psychotherapist and Management Consultant in his own company called On Being Human.
The programme is co-organized by Everybodhi, a non-profit organisation that brings together the young global community interested in Buddhism, meditation, mindful living and contemplative practices and to make practicing and exploring these common interests available to anyone.
